In the first phase of the expansion of our services throughout Pakistan, Roshni Helpline is currently working on establishing our presence in the region of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJ&K). As a first step, we have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Azad Jammu and Kashmir police department.
Executive Director of Roshni Helpline Mr. Muhammad Ali signed the MoU with Additional Inspector General Police (Legal) Mr. Khalid Naeem of AJ&K police. Deputy Inspector General (HQ) Mr. Irfan Masood Kashafi was also present on the occasion.
As part of the agreement, Roshni Helpline will provide ongoing training and capacity building on child protection to the Azad Jammu and Kashmir police department. Both parties have also agreed to work together in every way possible to ensure the safety of missing and exploited children in the region.
